Hi my name is Mason

 

Being an American by birth, I worked in South Korea for three years and got my CELTA qualification in St. Petersburg. In addition, I worked as a newspaper reporter in the US, and my job there consisted mainly of compressing large texts to 500 words or less. 

 

Working both as a journalist and as a teacher, I interact with people a lot. Most of all in my work I like to observe exactly how students understand and use new language concepts in their vocabulary.

Teaching in Russia was both a test and a reward for me. I enjoy showing students how they can achieve high levels of English proficiency. Many students are afraid of the incomprehensible and unpredictable subtleties of the English language, its grammar and vocabulary, although without all these nuances they can achieve excellent results.
